Tottenham Hotspur have signed James Maddison from Leicester City, their third acquisition of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old has agreed a contract with Spurs that will run until 2028.

Though Maddison was relegated with Leicester in 2022/23, the playmaker enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in 30 Premier League appearances.

In his career with the Foxes, Maddison played 163 times in the top flight, scoring 43 goals and providing 32 assists.

He also won the September 2020 Budweiser Goal of the Month, and helped Leicester win the FA Cup that season.

Maddison has been capped three times for England, and was also part of their FIFA World Cup 2022 squad.

Spurs fans could get their first glimpse of Maddison when they play West Ham United on 18 July in Perth.
