Arsenal have signed Kai Havertz from London rivals Chelsea.
The versatile Germany international, who can play as a midfielder or forward, is Mikel Arteta’s first recruit of the summer transfer window as Arsenal target another title bid.

Speaking to the club's official website, Havertz said: “It's super exciting for me to be joining this amazing club and to be part of the Arsenal family. This club has such a big history, and I hope we can achieve lots of things.
“The mentality in the Arsenal squad is very high and you can feel that. That was one of the reasons why it has been so hard to play against Arsenal recently.
“The aim is to win trophies and I’m going to give everything to do that for the supporters and everyone at the club. I'm now looking forward to meeting all the players and the staff when we come back for pre-season.”
Havertz joins the Gunners after spending three seasons with Chelsea, where he made 91 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists.
The 24-year-old won the UEFA Champions League with the Blues in 2020/21, scoring the only goal of the final against Manchester City.
The following season, Havertz added the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to his collection, scoring the winner from the penalty spot to earn Chelsea the latter trophy.

Upon Havertz's arrival, manager Arteta said: "Kai is a player of top quality. He will bring a huge amount of extra strength to our midfield and variety to our play."
Havertz has been capped 37 times for his country and played at the FIFA World Cup 2022.
He will join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training in early July and will wear the No 29 shirt.
His first match for Arsenal could come in their pre-season fixture against Nurnberg on 13 July.
Arsenal’s 2023/24 Premier League season kicks off on Saturday 12 August at home to Nottingham Forest.
