JLKCMO & Attitude of Gratitude – A Happy Bottoms Thanks Giving Event

ThanksGiving2014

As part of our Community Outreach Programming, the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri is thrilled to work with HappyBottoms. If you are unfamiliar with Kansas City’s only Diaper Bank, you should know that they work directly with social service agencies across the metro to provide diapers to low-income families while providing awareness of diaper need in the community. Safety-net programs like SNAP and WIC do not cover diapers, and at least 21,000 children in the KC area aren’t receiving the diapers they need.

Their big event is coming up this month, and we would love to have you attend. I’ve been a couple times with my mom, and I’m so proud JLKCMO partners with HappyBottoms during the year and for this special event!

HappyBottoms is holding their 4th annual Attitude of Gratitude: A HappyBottoms Thanks Giving Event on Thursday, November 12th. The happy hour and silent auction is from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm at The Guild KC (17th and Locust, KCMO). Tickets are available online here

This is the third year The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri has partnered with HappyBottoms to provide volunteers and funding. Through the year committee members support HappyBottoms by volunteering at the warehouse to prepare diapers for diaper distribution to partner organizations as well as diaper pick up and drop off, diaper drives, administrative work, etc.

We hope you all will consider attending this fun event and will tell all of your friends!
