Reminders for GMM – This Thursday!
A few helpful reminders for you this week in advance of Thursday’s GMM.
September’s GMM will be held at the National World War I Museum and Memorial. This is one of my favorite KC spots, so make sure you get there early to check out the gorgeous view of downtown. Fall is in the air in Kansas City!
We will have a special spotlight on our Signature Programming and our work in the area of Abuse & Neglect. Please make sure to bring items for Hope and Healing Kits for Rose Brooks. You could win a gorgeous prize from Kendra Scott who is partnering with JLKCMO on great causes and at Holiday Mart for Ladies Night Out. Items can include:
- Women: Full-size personal hygiene products: shampoo and conditioner,ethnic hair care products, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes and toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, lotion and body splash; baby care items: diapers, wipes and baby shampoo; and comfort items: comfy socks, word puzzles, journals, and all sizes of pajamas and underwear.
- Kids: Body wash, toothbrushes and toothpaste, new girls’ and boys’ underwear, kid-friendly pillowcases, crayons, activity books, travel-size puzzles, small stuffed animals (new) and teenage books.
Each attendee will receive one drink ticket for the GMM upon checking in. Please bring cash for any additional purchases.
Don’t forget to pick-up your Holiday Mart tickets. I can hardly believe it will start only four weeks after the GMM. Excitement is building!
