The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri: women building better communities.

Holiday Mart Committee | Anne Richter

Over the next few months, as we prepare for our League’s largest fundraiser, Holiday Mart, we will be featuring some of the ladies that make this event such as success. The Holiday Mart Committee has been working tirelessly throughout the year to create a one of a kind shopping experience for Kansas City shoppers.

Meet Anne Richter, 2013 Holiday Mart Marketing Co-Chair. Anne is enjoying her fourth year as a member of the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri! When not helping to promote this year’s fabulous event, Anne works as Marketing Communications director for AmeriFlex, an employee benefits administrator based out of Frisco, TX. In her free time, she and her husband try to keep up with their two-year-old son, Jack, and two yellow labs.

Anne “hearts” the League because over the course of its 100 year history, it has had made a difference for countless individuals and hundreds of community organizations in our neighborhoods. Anyone who has lived in Kansas City for any length of time has probably been impacted by the League in some way shape or form! The women who volunteer their time and talents to make our League a success are truly inspiring.

The 2013 Holiday Mart will be held at Bartle Hall in Kansas City October 17-20. You can purchase your Holiday Mart tickets online!

Holiday Mart is the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s largest fundraiser. This upscale shopping extravaganza has been a fall tradition for over twenty-five years. With more than 200 specialty retailers and over 22,000 shoppers, the proceeds from Holiday Mart support community projects sponsored by JLKCMO, including our commitment to Children’s Fitness and Nutrition.

Since it began in 1987, Holiday Mart has helped to raise more than $8 million for Kansas City community projects and the Junior League’s mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving our community. A donation to the Holiday Mart Fund helps to offset the costs of the event, allowing more funding for our projects.
