The Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri: women building better communities.
Earlier this summer members of the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri along with representatives from Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity helped break ground for a new Raytown home building project that Raytown mother Belinda Shumacher and her children will soon call home. The home will be built with the help of the League’s $10,000 donation to the project as well as the hands-on help of League members.
In late August, the Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity Committee completed its first onsite building day. They spent the day framing the basement and got started on the first floor. The home is scheduled for completion in December.
