Over the next few months, as we prepare for our League’s largest fundraiser, Holiday Mart, we will be featuring some of the ladies that make this event such as success. The Holiday Mart Committee has been working tirelessly throughout the year to create a one of a kind shopping experience for Kansas City shoppers.
Meet Sandra Archer, 2013 Holiday Mart Tickets Chair. This is her seventh year with the League and her third year with the Holiday Mart Committee. Professionally, Sandy is a physician. She received her medical degree from the University of Kansas. In addition to the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri, Sandy volunteers with her children’s school as the Restaurant Fundraiser Chair however, she spends most of her free time chasing after her five wonderful children with her amazing husband, Michael!
Sandy “Hearts the Mart!” While her professional work is very fulfilling, working with Holiday Mart has really helped her grow. They did not teach event planning in medical school!
The 2013 Holiday Mart will be held at Bartle Hall in Kansas City October 17-20. You can purchase your Holiday Mart tickets online!
Holiday Mart is the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri’s largest fundraiser. This upscale shopping extravaganza has been a fall tradition for over twenty-five years. With more than 200 specialty retailers and over 22,000 shoppers, the proceeds from Holiday Mart support community projects sponsored by JLKCMO, including our commitment to Children’s Fitness and Nutrition.
Since it began in 1987, Holiday Mart has helped to raise more than $8 million for Kansas City community projects and the Junior League’s mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving our community. A donation to the Holiday Mart Fund helps to offset the costs of the event, allowing more funding for our projects.
